I know in Kaohsiung, not like in Taipei or London or New York,

our citizen don’t often take MRT,

only for some people who live near by MRT station.

The problem is we had built MRT for a long time, but still less people use it,

and our station only built in urban areas, it’s inconvenient for people who live in suburbs.

Not like Taipei , there are many stations.

Not only the MRT but also the bus system developed very well, as you know,

in Kaohsiung, neither the metro nor the bus developed very well,

it’s the reason causing less people to take transportation.

 

And I used to work at newspaper company, they published newspaper and it’s called “freshweekly”

and it put in metro station everyday, but still several people know it, in Kaohsiung unless you live nearby the station or live in urban or only few people and tourists take it.

But I really hope Kaohsiung could develop like Taipei or Tokyo,

because I hate riding scooter, it’s very annoying, especially on rainy day! How troublesome it’s!

Our climate is humid, when you wear helmet it’s uncomfortable.

Anyway compare with decades ago, transportation in Kaohsiung has been developed very much,

now we also have light rail, I don’t know what will be going on after decade,

well…hopefully, it’ll develop and attract more people to use it!
